WHO AM I?

Brigitte Millet Gallet - Art designer

Initially I discovered working with clay. This then resulted in the appearance of threadlike and colourful figures from distant lands.
Atelier Piquifou (» website) was founded over twenty years ago.
I also wanted to share my interest in textile art with you, in clothes and colours but different from sculptures, even in picturing art.

Working with cardboard has already become famous thanks to artists transforming cardboard into contemporary or design furniture. As for me, I wanted to exhibit it on the walls and this has proved to fulfil all my creative desires.

Both Africa and Asia are key themes in my artistic work, together with colour, which is essential to me for joy and happiness.
Fascinating Africa with its magnificent baobab trees, cracked land and women with brightly coloured clothes.
Asia with its beautiful silk and delicate and refined geishas dressed in sublime kimonos.

Each painting takes you on a journey and through my creations I’d like to transmit my fascination for these distant countries full of emotion and enthusiasm.
